Hi, you are right!! The owners of Tsamadou Hotel shut off all the power to the hotel for the wintertime and thereby also to our webcam. At the moment we are trying to get power from a very helpfull nabour (Lefteris Hotel)- hope it will be OK today. Many regards Torben

One of my favourite places
One of my favourite destinations - unfortunately didn't get to visit this summer but all being well will do in 2014. I can't wait to return to La Casa for a few meals, superb food.

Hej Jan och Torben, vi undrar vad som hänt med Jans rapporter och bilder från Samos. Finns ni båda på Samos?
Vi undrar också om alla restauranger finns kvar eller någon har försvunnit som Thallassa förra året.
Vi kommer ner i september och då skall vi möta våra skandinaviska vänner.

Hej. På grund af langvarig sygdom i familien har der desværre ikke været overskud af tid og kræfter til at få opdateret siden, som vi gerne ville.
Jeg måtte aflyse vores juni-tur og i dag blev august-turen også aflyst.
Vi håber, at vi snart kan komme tilbage til normale tilstande igen.. Stor hilsen Torben.

Hello Torben,
just back from Samos, 3-10 may
And was very busy there the first 3 days filming the Greek Easter in the church of Kokkari.
A lot of footage, the people were very nice, and they did'nt have a problem that I was filming in the church.
A little video of a gathering in the mountains above Kokkari, souvlaki and wine:

Wat een mooie foto's.. maart is toch wel een erg mooie maand!
wij zijn ook al weer aan het aftellen!!! En komen begin juni weer naar onze favoriete stek. Na een jaartje overgeslagen te hebben toch maar weer naar Kokkari. Ik geloof voor de 17 keer.

Hello,
very nice pictures of Kokkari in januari and februari!
I wish I can come one day in that period.
On our Island Terschelling we have a similar period of
quietness in the winter, but there are tourists who come in the weekends for a short stay.
But I come again on the 3th of may again for one week and stay in Kokkari

weather and new site
goodmorning,
I just saw the pictures of February, what a very great weather changes, especially last friday en saturday!
I like the new site, but I don't see te announcement with latest update anymore on the homepage? I now was looking at "all year reports" to see that there are new pictures.
And the new site does not fit anymore on my screen, I now have te scroll left and right.......

Apple is selling a product for internet use, which can't show everything - and obviously they don't care.
Many companies (and countries) are so big that they think they can change the world. In this case thousands of websites has to be changed to be compatible to their product (I do not think that this will happen).
We have tried to find a solution on our site and the only solution might be to allow downloading of the videos for later playback.
If someone buys a big nice looking apple and finds out that it has a bitter taste - then they will never buy that brand again.
The best advertisement is satisfied customers - Maybe Apple should think on that.

I enjoy the webcam very much. It's been 10 years since I visit this beach and this is a great opportunity to take a look now and then. What I miss at the new webcam is the minute countdoun to an update and the weather report under the pictures! Please bring it back! Hi - Thanks for info. We are still making small corrections on the new site. Many of the 'old' functions could not be used, so we had to find new solutions.
Weather forecast is now on the webcam pages and instead of the 'old' countdown we now 'Walk the line'. Best regards Torben

new website
Great new website, looks good! We hope to visit Kokkari in july for the 5th time, really looking forward to it. And the webcam shows our accomodation on the hill !
