Potami Church, Oct. 2015

A quick visit at Metamorfosis Sotiros, Potami.

The church was built in the 13th century on top of remains dated back to 5th and 7th century.

Some of the columns and fragments in the church's masonry are parts from a 5'th century

basilika which was on this location or near by.

Above the church is "Potami Castle". It is the remains of a Byzantine Temple from 11'th

century and a Genoan Castle from 13'th century (last picture).
